No and no Improperly mixed alloy aka "Woody" and a Lamination Crack.. Totally different issue from a Die Crack.
I see the hair, I see a hair on the bottom of the obv '14 also. I dont see the lamination/mix error but then I don't know what to look for. I thought only clad had lam???
I definatley see the woody effect, I confused it for die polish. I thought it was very heavily polished, grinded even. How does this happen?
Forget about the hair. I think he was joking. The Lamination is right in front of his face of the 1914 Cent. Clear as day. And no.. Not only Clad coins have laminations.. Copper Cents are the coins to have the most laminations. Here is an example from my collection
That's a nice lamination error on the 1914. The woodie is very nice but get that green gunk off of the reverse.
