1982-P no FG half dollar

    I've found lots of halves that have grease filled FG's, but this is the first one truly missing the initials altogether.

    Thanks for looking. Not sure how the pictures come through but in hand it's really a nice example.

    Just a very small dot is all I can see. Nice looking error. You mentioned a grease filled Die but it could be from over polishing the Die. A nice Mint error.

    In James Wiles Kennedy Half Dollar Book he shows three different abraded dies for the 82P Kennedy Half Dollar.

    82P ADR-001 FG of designers abraded away, with lower serifs of 1 of date abraded away as a marker.

    82P ADR-002 FG of designers partially abraded away.

    82P ADR-003 F of designers initial abraded away.

    See attached photos of the three 82P ADR’s from my collection. Yours looks like the ADR-002.

    Everyone - thanks. Really pleased with the find. I don't normally check for no-FG's so I'm fortunate to find it.
