This looks like it will be my best box ever. First roll had a cleaned 1935 S, I looked for enders and found one after a few rolls and it was a shiny, toned 1941. In the next eight rolls, I've got 1935 D, 2 1942 Ds, 1944 S, 1946 D, very shiny 1948 and a 1956 D. There are some very nice 60s and 70s coins as well. Thinking someone emptied some albums;)

Sooner or later all CRH searchers hit it good. It's your turn now.

I hope so... I'm even starting to hope for an error or two;) Add 1947 S, 1945 S and another 44 S;)

    final tally of wheaties for that box - 1930, 1934, 1935 S, 1935 D, 1937, 1939, 1941 x 3 (all polished), 1941 D, 1941 S, 1942, 1942 D x 3, 1944 S x 2, 1944 D x 2, 1945 S, 1945 D, 1946 S, 1946 D, 1947 S, 1947 D, 1948, 1948 S, 1950 S x 2, 1951, 1951 D, 1952 S, 1952 D, 1953 S x 2, 1954 D, 1956 D x 2, 1957 D.

39 total wheaties, definitely my most interesting box;) Some of the above are nice-ish - the 35 S, 45 S, and 52 S.

I know what you mean. I’m 24 rolls in on a box and I’m at 132 wheats and I have several to go with enders. Usually I only have 10-15 in a box.

I was able to add a ‘30D to a book and a couple of upgrades to a few others. You ended up with a nice haul

Sweet finds, GenX & Groundhog! Indeed, every dog has his day if one stays the course and rummages through vast quantities of rolls. On the other side of the coin, droughts are plentiful . I've gone through 60-70 consecutive boxes of cents without finding jack( 5-15 lame wheats per box ). But, it's the gem boxes such as GenX and Groundhog's that keep you coming back for more. When you find a dandy box, get right back to that same bank branch and buy as many boxes as they will sell you. Many times you'll come up dry, but if you do this enough, you will strike gold again. A few years back, after coming across a wheat rich box of cents, I immediately went back to my bank, as well as 6 other bank branches in town, and came away with 14 extra $25 boxes. Two of these 14 boxes ended up being almost identical to the one wheat ladden box that I had picked up the day before.

I usually get those 5-15 wheaties in a box, and I find that pretty decent. To get almost one per roll is amazing. To get more is an absolute fiesta;) I am going back to that bank to grab another box. I gave up on half dollar boxes because of all the skunks plus the hassle. Pennies and nickels are my favorite;0)
