Hey guys I found a 1995 penny that looks just like the 1995 ddo- 002 coin shown on variety vista. I can not find this ddo listed on other sites like Coppercoins and question if it’s a real error. Here are the pics I took of it. You can see the doubling best on LIB in liberty and IN as well as the G in God. Under the right base there is small die gouge but it’s very hard to photograph.
I can't line up the both of the markers you show (there are 4 listed on Coppercoins) and while a DDO can have MD (since they are unrelated), this looks like MD. according to variety vista there are different stages of the coin and not all of them have all the markers. Some of the stages do not have the die crack on the left pedestal. Thanks for showing photos of your DDO that die gouge is really prominent and my coin has a imperfection in that location visible when I move the light source around more but yours is really obvious.
Holy Cow Rick!!! I think you are right!! My coin does have the notch in the one and also there is a mark to the east of lincolns nose. I will post that picture soon. I will also look for the other marks tomorrow as the coin is at home and I look at them at work on my lunch hour. Thank You!! I have never used the wexler site but it is very useful!
