1972 D dime very worn

    Yes, that is worn. But also struck with a late stage die. I am not sure what the obverse anomaly is apart from being some kind of a detached lamination.

    I thought it was peculiar thats why i took it out of circulation today im a cashier at a threft shop so i have time to look at all the coins the come in oh i have a friend that found a 1965 penny no mint mark with a star punched on to it any ideas ill get pictures in a couple days

    Its a very detailed stamp and no indent on other side so had to be put there when it was made

    It was not put there when it was made.
    It's a counterstamp. It's put on post mint.
    As a coin there is no value. 1 cent. However, people do collect counterstamps,
    and if it is old, or special in some way, a collector might want it.
