Those 1914 notes would be the first ones with Federal Reserve Note printed on them, right ? The Fed was created in 1914.
Here are your options, it,s really ironic that out of all the MPC only one series The 681 depicts military service, the $1 , $5, $10, and $20 The fractionals are the same just different colors and representing the Navy, these are all from my private collection and are the highest graded For esch denomination.
I have a few MPCs. I got pretty interested in them when I took the MPC boot camp class at summer seminar in 2013. I really love the designs on them and the color.
For the most part depending on which Series you choose, the over quality Can vary on certain denominations for instance on the 461 and 481 there are maybe 4 or 5 that make it to 64 and that,s it ! but the fractionals yielded some 69,s ( 2 each in population )
1942 Hawaii World War II: Now you guys will know why I was asking about the combinations of rare note, quality, and low SN. I wanted another WW II note to go along with my North Africa bill. The one I was looking out was a PMG 65 and also fairly low SN -- I think it was 2000, 4 zeros. But I lost track of the bill -- Ebay ? Great Collections ? Heritage ? Private seller ? -- and then it was gone. So I had been looking at THIS bill for over a year -- but it was way more than any other price I had paid for any other bill. Quite frankly, the type of $$$ I was planning on spending only at FUN, if that. Only time I have paid more $$$ for a bill or coin is when I bought my Saint-Gaudens coins. So I originally passed on the bill....then asked the seller if he had any flexibility...still didn't have enough $$$ to buy it....then someone bought it...but then they switched/reneged on the deal and bought something else from the seller. Finally, after realizing that I was NOT seeing lots of other PMG 65 or greater Hawaii bills with low SN's (I was seeing low SN's but much lower quality) and realizing that even if there was a PMG 65 or higher with a 2-digit SN it would probably cost 3-5X what I paid for this (and I wasn't selling a kidney to get one !)...I said, screw it, I'm gonna ante up. It's a very nice bill and the reason I bought it was the only ones that I have on my Wishlist that will cost more are a $500 and $1,000 bills. But those will be more than this one in Gem Quality, forgetting about LGS or low SN or any other distinguishing trait. But $500 and $1,000 bills are VERY PLENTIFUL whereas a PMG 67 + Pretty Low SN is rare. I see quality, I see low SN's...but I wasn't seeing both in the Hawaii bills (or North Africa or other special bills). Sometimes 2 traits (one of them low SN) are tough to find and/or if you do find it it's going to be super super-pricey. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place or not looking hard enough (this is a hobby for me, not a 9-5 job. Anyway, I won't have to post in the "ONES THAT GOT AWAY" thread on CT about this billl. It's mine, hopefully it holds it value or I at least enjoy it.
Great Fr.2300 @GoldFinger1969 ! That example sold in 2015 for $881, and resold again in March of 2018 for $1,200. Super nice, low serial number note. Congratulations.
67 and above is a pathway to greatness ! super high quality and easy To sell when your ready, low populations and a low serial number is a great combination
