I'm at a MS-65. The toning in the photo makes it difficult to tell from a photo but is that a Bugs Bunny die clash?
PCGS gives a + designation for top end of grade, or for eye appeal. They do not give a star (*). NGC however gives a +, and a * when they feel the coin deserves it.
Is there a non-TruView image? Considering TruViews can hide some of the hits, I’m going to lower my estimate a bit and say: MS 65+ with FBL
By PCGS standards I'd say MS67FBL. It's hard to tell in the picture what's going on in the hair, roughly from 7 to 9 o'clock to the ear, for nicks/dings. While all of the colors are possible for a 1958-D (e.g. I've seen all those colors on NT '58-D's), I've never seen anything like the starburst of colors starting at roughly 11 to 12 o'clock on the obverse and proceeding outwards. The right border of the (blue-green) colors from roughly 2 to 4 o'clock IMO looks like the outermost boundary of a liquid applied to the coin from the 11 to 12 o'clock position, e.g. AT. It'd be nice to see it in hand to make a definitive judgement.
