Outstanding quality across the board. Truly museum quality material you post here on this forum. Fascinating to follow!
Thanks, really is an enjoyable hobby. I am a strange collector, no real focus/ just do it for the fun of it.
So you are the nefarious villain responsible for raising the prices of Albanian provas for me. Just joking; lovely selection. Hope you dont mind if I post two of my favorites as well
Wow!!! I agree museum quality pieces...as usual. This one has got to be my favorite of the bunch. Love the obverse! Great photos as well. Did you shoot these yourself? If so what Camera/lens do you use?
So you decided what your own 10 best are? Don't get me wrong, we all love your collection, it is amazing, but you decided what your 10 best are? As opposed to public opinion?
Great looking gold coins up there panzerman! I love em' all but I really like that King Louis gold coin, something about a fat faced King intrigues me!
WOW absolutely fantastic Panza, my eyes are watering from the glare of all that gold, but your Schwabische-Halle is a real stand out also love your Napoleon but they are all great. Congrats.
Well, I am only allowed to post ten But its up to you guys/gals to pick your favorite. I like them all (otherwise would not have bid on them) But, the really great ones I cannot afford My fav. is the AV 1/12 Dukat from Breslau/ Josef I ....really tough to get these. John
Yes, all this year! I added 70AV+ coins to my collection. I sold off my banknote collection (Heritage Auctions) that gave me extra funds to buy coins John
Ehhhh - he finds them while he's out mowing the grass 'Course that could give people something to think about next time they see some guy out mowing the grass
Nope! I am not great at taking coin photos.Used sixbid auction ones. Here is one of my crappy coin photos AV aureus ND Rome Elagalabus 218-222AD
Its like that show, "Curse of Oak Island"....I have never found anything of value in my life. BUT....I do think of coins all the time when I am out there cutting grass/ blowing leaves, weeding flowerbeds Coins are like a "good drug" that puts you on a high. However that so-called "high" is permanent/ and unlike real drugs which harm or even will kill you.....coin collecting has a positive effect on your healthy well being Work however does provide funds for coin additions. John
The Breslau AV 1/12 Dukat 1709 is probably rarest in group. All coins from Josef I are rarely seen, unlike those from Leopold I and Karl VI. The Clemente XI Scudo d'oro is seen much more in auctions. But, all are rare compared to modern mint issues.
