Here is a 50th anniversary Triborough bridge and tunnel authority token that I have had for many years. I believe it was given by an employee to my mother. It is obviously a commomorative piece. I cannot find any info on it. It is pressed firmly into a metal disc and appears to be plated. I'd appreciate any insight or opinions.
I found this at the Token and Medal Society site. I don't know if the reference mentioned will help or not. http://www.tokenandmedal.org/FAQ/page22/page22.html Chris
Thanks Chris, I scoured that site a bit and found lots of info on exonumia... nothing much related to this particular piece exept that it's.. "Good for one fair". Where am I going to throw it!!, theres no token tolls anymore???
You couldn't find anything here? I've never even heard of this..... "The reference work on this type of token is the “Atwood-Coffee Catalog of United States and Canadian Transportation Tokens" published by the American Vecturist Association." Chris
Gilt plated Commemorative Medallion issued for 50th Anniversary of Triborough Bridge by the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority. Not an issued token for circulation for payment of toll. Philip M. Goldstein nynjtollscrip.info
