Was hot and muggy today and I had to dodge some rain but I pulled out some oldies.
The 1882 is the oldest Indian I found today. Not in to bad of shape. The others are still soaking. The dates are two 1902s and a 1907.
The 1900 dog tag is the most valuable find for the day. A few years back I found a simlar one but from a different township. It was a 1916 but had the same design. I sold it on e-bay for $80.00. This one should bring at least that I'm hoping. I don't wanna sell it but will probably do so this winter to help with the heating bills.
The silver thimble was a cool find as well. Jim

Where'd you go hunting and what kind of depths were they at and how long did you play?

    Ribbit :)

Ps: Always remember to do a "Paul Harvey" with a story and don't stop until we know "The rest of the story!" :D

Nice finds. So how many do you need at this point for another collection of found IHC's?

Quite a few. I have found about 30 Indian heads this year so far and only about 20 more from last. Lot of repeat dates. Plus I have not found any fatties yet, so I have a long way to go. Its all fun though.

Before I sold my last collection I did manage to find all year indian head pennies the only ones missing were the 08 and 09 s mint marked ones. Maybe this time around. Jim

It's always nice to see your unearthed finds. I believe I said this before: I gotta get my metal detector out and play.

    Keep the photos coming

    Jim, thats great stuff !!!

You know, I went and bought a Whites MXT and have only used it a cpl times so far. Darn thing sits in my office next to the wifes treadmill, which gets just as much use, lol.

When I visit the Detroit area next, I'll hook up with you and bring it.

Ok, let me know when and I'll try and line up a site. The MXT is a good detector. Jim
