I’m jealous of your 1928 Peace Dollar! And own I one.

FYI.... The 1889-O is a common date. Maybe a $20.00 coin. The 1899-S is a little better date with about 2.5 million minted. Not rare but a relatively low mintage. Yours is a well used and worn coin though. I would hesitate to say it may bring much more than $20.00-$30.00. Still is a better date dollar though..... Your 1921 Morgan is a very common date. It is an interesting piece when you know that both Morgan and Peace dollars were struck in 1921........ I would like to suggest you pick up a Redbook. They are an invaluable resource to all collectors new and old.

Nice ‘28 Peace! Lowest mintage of the series.

Yeah excellent peace dollar, should be worth a few hundred easily, probably 4-5. I would get it graded by NGC or PCGS, its worth it for that coin.

What is the cost of getting one graded?

You can expect to spend $30.00-$50.00. There are deals you can get. I believe that ANACS is running a really good deal right now. I would make a suggestion. I am a lifetime collector. When I want to have a coin encapsulated, I partner up with my dealer. Even paying him a little something for his troubles I usually come out ahead. If you have a local dealer go see if he is someone that you can strike up a relationship with.

I didn’t catch that it was a 28. Just figured it as a generic 23. I’d grade it high au to low ms. Probably $250-375 depending on grade. I’d send it out to pcgs myself. See if you can piggyback on another members submission

Welcome to Coin Talk and thanks for sharing your coins! We love pics! I wish you the best with the grading process. I chose PCGS for my grandfathers coins that my dad wanted to sell. I've learned a lot in the last few months and there are many of us that are more than willing to give you pointers. Just ask here or in private message. Thanks for sharing!
