Mother-in-law gave me a jar of coins to go through and pick out what I wanted. Grabbed these 4 2019-W Proof Lincoln’s and a Reagan Philly dollar that was in decent shape. Also a fake Greek ancient that was the subject of much scorn when I posted it in the Ancients Forum earlier today, lol.

It's been kind of a boring week of pennies. Only averaging about 12 wheaties per box and not a lot of unc '59 - '89, which I keep. I did an inventory check of my Canadian pre '97 pennies that I've rolled up over the years:

    $568 in 1970 - 1996.
    $64 in 1960's
    $12 pre 60's

2 banks tonight had $1500 in mwr halves, and $50 in cwr halves, so, I figured why not? I bought them all. The $50 was someone’s dump. The mwrs were contained in 3 sealed plastic bags with 50 rolls in each bag. I have confirmed these bags are delivered by Loomis. These local bags typically stink.

Surprisingly, I could see 2 silver obverse enders in 1 of the bags. This bag also held $230 worth of my own rewraps. Receiving my own rewraps in a sealed bag was a first for me, and not a good thing.

I’ll report after I have time to search all the mwrs (except my rewraps, ha) over the long holiday weekend.

    HH everyone!

They were only sold in mint sets. So low mintage, something like ~2.5mil or so for each.

My average is 10. If I get any more than 10 I am happy. I'm chomping at the bit to get downstairs and crack these rolls open soon!

    330. The number of wheaties in the box tonight. Including a 60D Small Date and a 2000P WAM. The oldest coin was 1919. Some rolls had up to 32 in a roll. Absolutely gobsmacked. I've been searching for 7+ years and have never had a box like this before.

Yeah, I've read somewhere ( have no idea to it's validity ) that Wisconsin and Michigan have thd highest percentage of copper and wheaties still in circulation. Would love to read more info on this topic if anyone knows?

Super penny box, Furry! At our age (I'm 47) , is there anything better than being the lucky recipient of a box like the one Furry just unraveled ?? The few gems I've had were probably not quite as robust as Furry's, but what a blast they are to open. You never want the box to end. The last one I had, I came within an eyelash of balling like a baby when I was opening up my 50th and final roll. My wife looked over at me and said "honey I thought you were happy as heck with that box of pennies"? Sniffling a bit while trying to fend off the tears, I just told her that she would never understand. You know, sometimes those treasure trove boxes like the one Furry just uncorked , is a great indicator that someone may have unleashed mass quanties of their bounty at a bank, thus many more like boxes exist. Now is the time to pounce, Furry! If I were you, I would head right back to that same bank and some of their other branches in the area to pick up a few more boxes. Lightening can definitely strike twice........or maybe even three times.
