Hi everyone,I pulled this 63 out of a coin roll a while back. I was brand new to collecting and thought it looked nice enough to put in a holder. I have never graded anything at all,but after reading up on the 63P and its rarity in good conditions,I decided that I'm going to send this off for grading.

I'm here trying to get some professional opinions on what grade this could achieve and what it might be worth in the worst case scenario.

What do you guys think? Did I make a good choice? Is this a flip or a flop?
    Be brutally honest

Brutally honest? I know you know better then this! One coin per thread!! The pics on your 63 stink! Plus it's in a flip!! Like I said; I know you know better and can do better!

Mr. Ross would not be happy with you. It's all in the details!

Let's start over, from the beginning this time! ;)

Your pictures are to dark. Plus take them out of the flips for pictures, then put them back in. It just takes time and practice. No rush!

From what source did you learn that it was valuable in higher grades? My 2013 copy of the Red Book lists it at 30c in MS65. Am I missing something?

Just because it came from a roll I would automatically grade it AU.

It was mistaken for the 63d @cpm9ball sorry. In all honesty i just wanna grade something independently...this 63p is near flawless.....owell,back to the wierd part of the forum

There were more than 1.7 billion of the '63-D struck, and it too, is listed at 30c in MS65.

Ok,I give up. I'm not aiming for a 65 cp,noone does, they send in coins hoping to get a superior grade. Although unlikely,it doesn't do anyone harm to give it a shot. Say I had a 66+ or even a 67...those are rly good money...I'm not gonna just assume it's a 65 and toss it.You cant win if ya dont play,I appreciate the help tho.

@FoundingTN, over the past few years I've saved hi-grade Lincolns like yours and put them in little close-fit capsules. I'm just trying to assemble a set for the fun of it. It will likely never be worth anything, but I enjoy looking at them. Perhaps the capsules are worth as much as the Lincolns. Yours would be "worthy" of my silly little venture.

A roll find even if from an uncirculated roll would likely not make the grade to warrant a trip to a TPG. Most uncirculated rolls have already been picked over long before you did (assuming my first sentence is true).

And whatever you do, do not shed your thick skin...:)

There is no hope for the next generation of collectors I swear, the lack of optimism really is disgusting and leaves nothing to be desired for someone genuinely interested in the hobby. I wonder why I even bother sometimes.

Do not confuse "Realism" with "Lack of Optimism";)

We are just trying to help you save money that might be spent unnecessarily. If you want to get an idea of how it might grade, why don't you go to a coin show and compare your coin to others that are already graded?

I know ima sour puss, and probably dont have any coins worth anything to anyone, but a little encouragement and optimism goes a long way. I know it's tough to find a high grade coin,I get it....but give ppl the benefit of the doubt and atleast look at the coin before you shatter any hopes they may have had. It's just discouraging..and bad for the hobby to tell ppl that these coins cant be found. I'm no expert but I really enjoy the thrill of the hunt, atleast let me have that....
I love u guys tho,I appreciate all the information and am grateful for the community here. Just loosen up a bit,its supposed to be fun, tell me to send it in and wish me luck, ffs. Haha
