I'm kind of surprised to see these coming out of the woodwork so soon, when 2009 is less than 6 months away and thats when the prices should really skyrocket.

Those are some real nice Lincoln Cents but if the Seller is wrong about the 1918-P Cent being undergraded, then I don't think that he or she would want to eat Doug's hat!

Some folks have waited long enough, and have seen prices skyrocket. Profit taking they call it in the stockmarket.

Me? I'm hangin on to my goodies untill next year.

    Hope I dont tank.

EDIT: I'll be watching that 22-D closely ( mine is nicer )

MAN, sweet coins! (Wish I had the money for that 28-S, looks like the Large S variety! Pretty scarce in any grade, and rare in Gem like that.) Thanks for sharing!

why would you put all of them on sale now? It's the same people buying those high grade Lincolns and the seller is forcing bidders to choose which ones to bid on. I would have done a little by a little.

What does "OGR" stand for with regards to the 1909?

He means OGH, which is Old Green Holder. It is used to hype the coin sometimes because it is thought that the OGH coins are upgradeable on a resubmition, many were graded very strict or conservative.

Most that would have upgraded allready have by now

I disagree. In 2009, there won't be any speculators.

NOW we have speculators. Speculators drive up prices.

The old stock-picker saying: "Buy on Rumor, Sell on News" could be re-worded "Buy in 2007, Sell before 2009"

I personally think late 2007 and this year are the high points for Lincolns. Everyone will be selling next year after buying this year.

Yup; that's the key point. I believe they are pretty picked over by now.

Which means most OGH coins are in coin coffins (their final resting place), but the hype will remain forever.

Well, I took the bait. I am high bidder on a coin he is selling. I try to stay away from those multifont hyper listings, but he DOES have some primos.

While Lincoln Cents aren't my # 1 collected coin, these PQ coins are so nice they make me want to spend some $s. I think if I bought just one of them it'd quiet my hunger for the whole lot of them. I'll see how long my will power can hold out. I may have to PM here.
