A few months ago, back in July, there was a wonderful fellow who knew of my birthday, and wanted to send me a present. Such a kind gesture, the miscreant (Mike, and he's not such) sent me a birth year coin. I misplaced the noble gesture and just recently stumbled (yesterday) upon it. I post it here (photogs) along with my thanks and appreciation for the wonderful fellow this gentleman is. His name shall remain anonymous (@micbraun) in the annals of cointalk. Love ya brother.......
very nice coin! Its odd when some one out of the blue retains info like that, and then gives you a gift.
For a while now, I've been creating "coin family trees", with the birth year and country coins on the family tree. I'll see if I can post up some photos. It requires round cut outs for each coin, on thick black card. It's evolved a bit, but the best way is to have 3 layers, with front and back black card with round holes for the coins, and a centre layer with square cut outs for standard coin holders. The whole thing is mounted in a picture frame. The first couple had photos as well, but it looks cleaner without.
Old?? You dated Eve before Adam did!!
Well that explains it!
You guys are beggin' for it......
