I am only 3 sets short of completing my clad mint set run from 1965-2007. I only need a 1987,88 and an 89 to be complete! Not an expensive pursuit, but one that I can handle right now! And if you're wondering, my run is not 65-81, and 84-07. I purchased a 1982 P and D and a 1983 P and D Souvenir Mint Sets from the US Mint. They were expensive, yes, but my run is complete, and I have a full set of clads in Original Government Packages. Anyone else here closing in on completion of any sets???
Nope Mike. Yah got me hands down and way out front in this race. The main problem is I sometimes have to buy sets like yours to break apart and add to my albums. (oh, did I notice a little cringe on your side of the screen?). Maybe after I get this goal complete I will be able to compete. Until then all I can do is bring up the rear and hope I get close. CONGRATS!! jeankay
I'm working to get a coin from every current country in the world that issues coinage. I have about 50 or 60 countries so far (some of which no longer exist or issue coinage), so I have a while to go.
Lets see, the sets I'm close to completing are.... Lincoln cents Liberty "V" nickels and Standing Liberty Quarters but........ I'm still currently working on.. U.S. Large cents Indian Head cents Capped Bust and Seated Liberty Half Dimes Buffalo Nickels Barber Quarters Walking Liberty Half Dollars and Morgan Dollars
Since the only set I have EVER completed is the business strike Two Cent Piece you may find it odd that I am currently working on 15 sets. Indian Cent Lincoln Cent Liberty Nickel Buffalo Nickel Mercury Dime Roosevelt Dime Standing Liberty Quarter Washington Quarter Walking Liberty Half Franklin Half Kennedy Half Morgan Dollar Peace Dollar Eisenhower Dollar Susan B. Anthony Dollar Has clembo gone mad? Nope, that happened years ago. I have one VERY large want list that I'm working on
say clembo, if the time comes and you haven't finished all of those sets. how about I finish them for ya
I've thought about this for a while, just got started on it. One of each of the foreign coins minted by the US mint in the years of 1943 and 1944. I'm kind of surprised by the difficulty so far. May take me a lot longer than I thought it would.
Yep, right now working on a VF/AU set of Lincolns, all problem free. Also trying to attempt to get them with a very nice strike, or as close as I can get too one. This isn't going to be your average run of the day sets, LOL. With how money is now, and trying to find the coins I need, should have it done when my grandchildren are almost grown up, and can watch me finish. Phoenix
Let's see... In the past I managed to complete a short set of silver roosevelt dimes [1946-1964]; and I keep up my ASE set, but beyond that I know there is virtually no chance of starting and completing another set.
Way to many sets going at one time for me. I just can't stop. I've got well over 100 Whitman Classic Albums and many are full. Example is 10 completed sets of Lincoln Cents. Just don't know how to concentrate on one type or denomination.
I am working on two sets, and I don't see myself finishing either one of them any time soon: US Type Set Large Cent Date Set
