I assume you are in South Europe with these metal detecting finds. All I can find in Missouri USA is rusty tools and bottle caps.
I heard about someone finding a medallion of Valentinian in Los Angeles with a MD, but it turned out to be fake news!!! I found a $5 bill once on the street. But that's about it. Great coins @galba68 - super envious.
wow...quite a bounty! ..i have also found several arrowheads here @CoinBlazer...not to mention modern coins...
You had one heck of a day , I sure do miss my days of metal detecting in Europe it was such a great time.
OK, that does it! I'm buying plane tickets after I dig my detector out of the shed. Mind if I sleep on your couch? Now, where did I leave my passport? Hmm...
@galba68 ...Great finds!..... You've posted a lot lately but haven't re-posted the coins cleaned. I'm sure there's a lot of people on the forum who would love to see the end result , including me... My season is about to start as the rains have come and softened the soil....In the summer it changes to concrete and you need a jack hammer to move anything! So hopefully will be able to post some finds over the next few months.... What depth are you hitting?...Here it ranges from 25-35cm but sometimes less if on agricultural land that is regularly ploughed...
CLEANED UP?? CLEANED UP?? I thought it was a sin to clean up any coins!!! Lol. Just kidding. I clean all of my finds.
GREAT FINDS!! That’s the kind of day we all hope and pray for. What machine do you use? I have 2 Garrett Ace 250s, 3 Garrett All Terrain Pros, a Minelab xterra 705, 2 Minelab Sovereigns and a Tesoro Sand Shark. Most of my detecting is historical in nature, searching for relics for schools, libraries and museums. It’s always so exciting finding great finds like yours that have been lost for centuries. Happy hunting!
Hi C. Kirkpatrick. Im using Wave A2, and I just bought C.Scope CS 1MX, and I hoped it will be delivered to me next week..
