Let's try this Again is this an error coin

    This is a 1984 Lincoln penny and not sure what to think about it it doesn't look like it's been sanded down but it's missing in in the in God we trust and it's missing the L and the i in Liberty and also the back of the coin looks like it has some doubling 20191121_112010.jpg

    Looks like the Die was filled with grease and/or debris. A nice example but very common.

    I agree with Collecting Nut, except I wouldn't pay more than face value as they are fairly common in circulation. Maybe hang on to it as a good example. Welcome to CT BTW.

    1 Cent.. Worn Die Strike..
    As mentioned struck through grease. The doubling is caused by the Die Deterioration. Considered Worthless doubling. :(

    I see often that people say this is "common", but I've never found one...maybe I should look harder.
