Italy Coin Help

can anyone help identify this coin? It’s labeled as a Ravenna Quaittrino Benedict XIV, but upon looking at NGCs website it doesn’t appear to be that.

Well, the Italian States section of the 1700s Krause guide is a like 100 pages long, so it would take some doing to search for it by picture. I checked on Ravenna (Papal States) and the quattrino is listed as starting in 1744. I'm assuming the Roman numeral is the date--1701. Maybe a weight and diameter would help narrow it down.

 

It does look similar to other Papal States coin weights I've seen.

 

Looked thru my 17th and 18th century Krause catalogs but did not find your coin.

Got a collection of 474 coins in and this was the first one that was labeled incorrectly. I wouldn’t know where to start with so little on the coin itself.

 

Pretty sure a Papal Coin weight

 

I have seen some Italian coin weights, but they were smooth on one side. Were the Papal coin weights minted on both sides. Of course for silver and gold coins.

 

Anybody look at Berman?

 

Krause is better than nothing but their coverage of Italian States coins is marginal at best.
