We could guess the grade but value of the coin is subject to what someone is willing to pay for it. It sounds to me like you either want to resell the coins for more money or want to feel like you got a good deal.

you'd be wrong on both accounts. the coins are for me and me alone. and i'm plenty happy with the price or i wouldn't have spent my hard earned dollars
on them. good day to you sir.

    The toning seems very interesting.
But the reverse shows some defects...these will limit the grade max to MS61/62

it does appear kinda dark. i purchased because i loved the toning on the date. very deep blues and purples.

the reverse certainly does. it's what prompted me to spend a week learning more and researching the grading company before making an offer i was happy with and purchased it for.

Just an observation. I just don’t understand why you would want to know what we value it at. If I buy a coin for myself the value is priceless to me.

That is fine. I’m not trying to single you out or anything of the sort. As a forum we have had people ask us to value their coins for their so called collections that end up getting sold.

I'll say MS 62-63. In hand, I might have to say high AU. Taken as a whole, I dont think the toning will drive a premium, though some of the colors are pretty.

    Kinda scruffy looking.
    I'm at MS61/62

62+ or 63. Too much chatter on the reverse, which is typically the cleaner side of a morgan, to grade any higher in my opinion.
I think the toning looks nice.

    I'm at a AU-58 to a MS-60. I really don't care for the dark toning.

i saw the coin and went home and read up on NNC and read that they were/are well known for giving coins too high a grade. i went back a week later, made an offer based on that and was able to purchase the coin for much less than what they initially were asking.

    Yeah...
Either those pics are extremely misleading, or 66 is just the number the wheel stopped on after spinning it. :wideyed:

So....then...what did you actually pay for it? You posted in the "What's It Worth" forum, and I/we infer that you want us to validate your purchase.
