I noticed that it was never cashed. What do the terms on the back state?

I notice it says, "Not Transferable" so without Mrs. Connelly, I guess there is no redeeming it. LOL Cool just the same.

 

Even with Mrs. Connelly it could no longer be redeemed. The Post Office ceased redeeming them in the 1980s.

 

Just got the reverse image.

 

What would be the reason for Finger Impressions on the back?

 

Since it is non-transferrable, it would be my guess that fingerprints could be used for identification.
