Hey Jack, I think it should grade easily, I see no problems with that coin..............................................Although the problems might be hiding under all that crust and nice green "toning"
The 31-S is a date that is actually scarcer in lower circulated grades, it was a known scarce date from the get go and most were retired rather quickly after they came out. Too bad the price cannot be counter reflective in this case to allow for that.
alright, well , heres mine. Whats too bad about this is that this actually a scarce variety 1913 Broad Leaves Canadian 10 cent 125$ in VG-8
soz it took me so long to post it, i was busy last nite :S the only problem is that the main ugly part is not visible so if u read near the queens head in the bubble thats made the word starts with F here it is..
Jim, your the expert on these. What do you recommend to clean it? It's worth cleaning up I would imagine. I put it in my wifes buzzy jewelery cleaner, nothing happen to the coin but I got yelled at, lol.
Jack, I already told you. Hammer. Chisel. or you could try putting it in the dishwasher, and cross your fingers it doesnt turn out like Becky's.
Ha. By the way, I've got uncleaned ancients soaking in olive oil right now that look better than that '31 S!
