Cleaned, a lot of circulation wear (minor hits and scratches all over the place - just look at the jacket), possible die deterioration with a nice die clash
    I don't know about 1925 D cents, but I wouldn't get it graded.

A lot of circulation or possible die deterioration? I'm not an expert either. Seems like a lot of luster for a coin that has a lot of circulation wear. I'm thinking maybe a weak die strike. Where are you seeing a clash?

@RelicKING- Can I ask your history with this coin? Where did you get it?

    Look on the reverse
You can see the outline of lincoln's bust on it or I'm just seeing things.
left wheat stalk is virtually either really weak or really worn.
but I'm always wrong about these old cents anyways

excuse my really bad mspaint drawing

Yes, maybe a slight ghostly figure. Good eye!

Do you have a weight for this coin? And where did you get it?
It has a lot of weakness in the strike and what looks like struck through debris /grease with a very worn die. Plus the Indirect Design Transfer on the reverse.
It looks to have a lot of wear but yet it seems to retain it's mint luster.
I ask for weight because it may be struck on a thin planchet.

Late die state, both sides. This is a mint state coin.

If this is an MS coin and I am not doubting the 2 posts above,
it is one of the more interesting MS coins I've seen.
Even in low MS grades there is good value. But it also has special eye appeal and collector appeal for all the weird stuff going on.

its not cleaned i was told its just weak die strike which was apparently very common with this date. its been graded ms65+ by a third world grading company i just wanted to see if its worth having regraded.

This thread has been very confusing. You have to articulate exactly what you are look for on your initial post.

I'd try it at PCGS or NGC if you got it cheap. 63 reds sell for 100-150

I think Lincoln's Bust on the reverse is a form of ghosting rather than a die clash. The third party grader has graded it too high. It's more like a 62 or a 63. It is a very late Die state on both side. I'm not seeing wear from circulation but I am seeing Die overuse issues.

    Welcome to CT.
