Such "pap." LOL, what exactly are the "rights of others" regarding these coins?

I'd tell everyone that I destroyed all but 3,000. Then, I'd offer the 3000 at $1200 each and actually sell all 30K. :p

Coin dealers are in business to serve collectors. They cannot do that if their only option is to buy one coin or pay full retail for others. Dealers make offers to line up coins THAT WILL EVENTUALLY go to collectors (at a much higher price). When Granny Jones, Aunt Reba, and Uncle Ted try to buy a coin for Junior, or the dealer, I don't consider them to be "shills."

Selling a popular and collectable coin with a mintage of 30K for $65 IS STUPID! However, they make the rules. Try to hit the ball or leave the game crying. Some players HIT A HOME RUN! :) I struck out. :(

Those of us who bought one should destroy ours immediately upon delivery to show solidarity with those who missed out and are going to quit collecting forevers. Who's with me?

My heart goes out to everyone who was unable to purchase a coin, but according to what I have noticed/learned on here during the short time I have been around is that:
"You should collect the coins for the sole enjoyment of the coin."
    "Not for profit."
    "Ect."
If that is how the 'true' collectors feels, then just dish out the cash for the example; no?
Perhaps I have been missing something during my short time here learning from everyone?
If you disagree, please refer to my post just a few short days ago when I was asking about historical appreciation of coins and which ones seem to hold value/increase in value the most reliably and feel free to comment!
Is this not a 'collector' coin due to low mintage?

Sounds good. I'm willing to do the work for you. Simply send me the unopened mint sealed box, and I'll gladly dispose of the evil little troublemaker for you. :D

Lol would probably do better actually getting rid of most of them. The big surprise if that if you had them all any would be under 4 figures :D

Maybe not - I forgot to add the most important part: for $65.

Yeah, the Mint should have sold them for $1,000 each. Let's see how many flippers would be in a position to pay a 25%+ royalty to the shills.

They could have gotten more, but leaving meat on the bone is how excitement gets generated. Canada and others have super low mintage stuff with really stiff premiums and they are a snooze fest. If you want to create buzz you have to do it right and they mint nailed it on this

That wouldn't be fair to collectors who obeyed the 1 per household limit and bought one to hold onto for the future. You can't screw over everyone because of a few bad apples. If the Mint did something like this, no one would ever buy a modern mint product ever again.

I agree. Those that feel badly should sell them all to me at issue price so they can feel better about it. What are Cointalk friends for after all? I'll buy as many as I can get at or near those levels.

EDITED: POLITICAL The Mint is miles ahead of the rest of the government. According to Coin World, they had 150,000 unique visitors and more than 1.6 million hits that day.
