It doesn't have a proof finish. They didn't make silver dimes in Denver in 1991. Sometimes when the blank is punched out of the roll, the clad layer will cover the entire edge. Chris
Plated. You can really tell on the reverse. It looks like it was plated over a dirty coin. The fields don’t look right at all! IMO

Most are school experience, a coin is plated in a high school science project or program. It's easy and it gets the point across to the students.
I read that another member said the he seen a guy using coins to make sure the “chemicals “ are right for plating other objects also. When you realize there sooo many way to plate a coin. Even jewelry!! No telling
