Here's a fun pair that just arrived. These were from the 1933 Chicago World's Fair (also called the "Century of Progress International Expo"). These were distributed by The Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company at their exhibit, The A & P Carnival. And here is a post card I found online with a brief mention of the carnival:
I added a bit more info after your post. As far as I can tell, these aren't super rare. They are available on eBay both as raw pieces and graded. I've seen raw go for under $20. Graded tend to go for a bit more. However, the grade doesn't seem to carry much of a premium. I've seen MS 62-MS 65 sell for around the same levels ($40-$75). A top pop might go for more.
Gotcha. I found mine (the HiHo Pig on the left) - looks like a decent XF/AU (nothing special, honestly) but I thought it was interesting, so I saved it in a bin of other similarly interesting items. Yours are WAY nicer than mine
They are cool relics and a fun design that can be acquired inexpensively. I had the pig in MS 63, but sold it. Now I’ve upgraded it (the other one had better color while this one is a higher grade) and added the cow. I like to add some tokens/medals with interesting designs, so these were perfect additions.
