1939 S lincoln woody?

    Looks like scratches in the pictures. Whats the edge look like?

    I thought they were scratches also till I looked on reverse. Hope pics help

    I'm not seeing scratches but yes it is a woody. A very nice example and that is why I'm not seeing scratches.

    This is probably why I ...have no woody. I dont know how you guys can see these things so easily. Good thing this site is around the check coins.

    Do these carry a premium?

    I think it is like the toning preference. The folks that like them might pay a little extra for the nicer examples.
