This is only one of the sellers items that, IMO, are very misleading if not fraudulent. If I wanted to notify eBay about this seller's items, how would I do that. I have never reported anyone before and would like your input as to whether I should report it or mind my own business. (I detest fraudsters giving our hobby a black eye).

I also wrote him a "scathing" letter.

I just wrote him, too. First gave him/her the benefit of the doubt in the event he/she thought it really was an error (and told him/her to get educated). IF the person knew it was just a Philadelphia-minted coin I "read to him from the Good Book" as they used to say in the old Western movies.

Did anyone see the movie Trial and Error? If I remember right Rip Torn's character was on trial for selling "copper engravings of the great emancipator" for $19.99 and then would send the buyers a penny. This guy is worse.

I seem to remember that comments and questions to a seller were posted on the listing page for everyone to see. Am I remembering this correctly?

I think the seller has the option of making those visible or not. I doubt this seller would agree to show the comments received on this sale.

This is nothing compared to his 9 other listings...all made up crap. But as the saying goes, he only has to sell one. o_O Ebay won't do anything voluntarily...you have to specifically complain about it. :yack:

How do you report it? Nothing in eBay's reporting criteria covers this.

I don't look to often and I never buy but I will complain about what's being sold.

eBay used to be more like a swap meet when it first started. Friendly and, almost, not for profit. At least it was not looked at so much as a primary source of income.
