My most expensive coin is only a couple hundred dollars, but my dad has put together a collection of 57 g-vf 1938-d half dollars.

The most I have paid for a coin was just under One hundred dollars for a worn out CC Morgan. The most I have sold one for was $900 for an 1894 Canadian half dollar. The most expensive coin I own is worth a few dollars more.
Just in case you're curious about what a 1909-S VDB brings on Ebay, in a condition slightly lower than yours (uneducated guess since the sellers pics are poor), then checked this out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=110259970472&ssPageName=STRK:MEBI:IT&ih=001 Ribbit Ps: If anyone wants to bid on that one, go for it. I just bought my first DBD and it broke me so I don't have any money left to try and snipe this S-VDB.

I got a $10 gold 1881 lib. I traded a metal detector and cash for it. Its probably au 50+. So that is my obvious most valuable, however, I have a pilgrim 1920 commemorative half that I'm getting slabbed from segs (just to see what it is) I'm hoping its ms 65 but I doubt it, it does have excellent eye appeal. I'm a little worried it may have been cleaned. I paid $50 for it years ago, so no matter what I win. I also have a 1913 $2.5 that I really think is ms 63+ so I'm sending it away also. Those are my good ones.
