Received from The US Mint at the last ANA show.

    Fun event.

All you had to do was answer a poll for the Mint-- took a few minutes.

Here's the poster from a local event for Young Numismatists in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Unfortunately, it was being held on an Election Day in Moorhead at which I was working as a judge; I was unable to bring my grandson(s). But I thought it was a great idea.

I met some really nice dealers at the ANA Chicago show this year. One nice dealer from my hometown said he had a few boxes of coins from Ceylon, India, others in Asia and the Middle East that need to be researched. I volunteered to help so I could learn. He provided 3 volumes of Michael Mitchiner books as resources and the coins. I need to match the coin with the listing in Mitchiner (if possible) and give the M# for each coin. The coin envelopes have a starting point or else I'd be lost. It's been fun so far and I feel like I've struck gold everytime I have an identical match. :)

Some of my newest acquisitions. They're so new that there are no KM numbers or Schon numbers yet. I task my mom (who lives in Germany) to obtain these from the bank or post office.

She got this one at my request back in 2016, which was one of the various Coin of The Year (COTY) coins in 2017 (KM 348). It came with a cheap wrist watch with a face copied from the reverse.

I am quite attracted to the different styles of eagles that the Germans have on their coins. Just the different styles could be an enormous bunch of posts.

masterswimmer A Caretaker, can't take it with me

Couldn't lift it when I brought it in. Had to split it into a few trips, and needed assistance with each trip.

Thank you Lord Marcovan and Gucci!

Keeping in the pet theme I introduce you to "Ollie Bear" he is a Belgian Sheepdog and is competing in confirmation events and is currently in the Star Puppy level of education and he also has an interest in numismatics as witnessed by the shredding of the mint set below of which the nickel and cent were not recovered. We lost our Belgian Sheepdog "Charlie" earlier this year (he was a rescue given up by the previous owners) and we decided in memory of Charlie to purchase a puppy. Bear won "best of breed" and 4th place in the herding group in the 4-6 month old puppy event.

I once had a Belgian Sheep dog all black named Max. He was so smart and loyal. I sure miss him.

The Lincoln cents (1957-D) were included in an auction that I won, I knew some pennies were there but they were not what I was bidding on. They were disguised in and sealed in a plastic tube and no information about them was included in the listing. Blind luck is almost never in my favor.

They are well known for their intelligence and loyalty. All the pets we've had over the years are in our hearts and never die and I do believe they cross the "Rainbow Bridge" into heaven.
