Howdy fellow coin peeps, :thumb: I once posted something similar to this, after the auction had closed, and there were several members who would have liked to have bid on it but since it had ended, they couldn't. So this time I'm posting this before it closes, so we can discuss it and if anyone likes it, they can bid on it. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Coins___Unkno...rkparms=72:12|39:1|65:12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 It took a lot of work and time to cut out all of that and it looks like it was by hand, not by machine. Nope! I didn't make it, someone else did. I just ran across it doing my searches and figured someone would like it. Ribbit
Cut-out eagle Thanks for bringing this cut-out eagle to my attention. It is very interesting. Now I think I finally have a use for the fancy Dremel tool my hubby and I bought for ourselves on our last anniversary. There may be a new hobby in store for me. jeankay
Test your skills out on a 1940's Mercury dime so if you mess up, it ain't too costly. Plus, be sure and post your handywork when completed. :thumb: Ribbit Ps: You'll need a small rubber-padded vise to hold it whilst cutting.
Jeankey , sounds like a nice extra hobby , will be interested when you make one for sale . Being an ex toolmaker , see if you can find the cutters made out of carbide , if not then high speed steel , also don't forget safety glasses , Good luck & keep us posted .:hatch::hammer::smile:hail::kewl: rzage
