Got it today. It was free shipping as promised and everything went okay. except one thing. The COA wasn't the real thing, just a copy. You can tell he either used a copy machine. OH yeah. Wanna know how he mailed the coin. In a PWE....which is fine except he didnt mail it in a flip. He simply taped it inside the envelope. I had to peel the coin off the tape. So, what kind of feedback should I leave? stainless
I would give it a couple of days , then is best to let your thoughts fall into place, then leave appropriate feedback. Your seller did deliver the coin, lousily, and with a photocopy COA(worthless) so think about it and go with your conscience.
Mention it to him and see what he says. It's not like you should expect him to do anything (unless you want a refund), but maybe he just doesn't know the difference. If he doesn't respond to your email, I'd leave a neutral feedback specifically mentioning the way the coin was shipped. I'm sure all his future coin buyers would appreciate the heads up.
Congrats on receiving the coin you won... Certainly an inappropiate shipping method. It may have been shipped that way in anger, or, the dealer doesn't realize the importance of protecting a coin. Give a positive feedback about receiving the coin/prize. Thank the Ebay Dealer via e-mail, with a, "but please next time you send a coin, don't tape it to anything as it devalues the prize. Clinker
He just replied to my e-mail....he can't type very well....but I think this coin may be a fake: __________________________________ Dear silverstainless08, the tape so the coin will get to you even if the package is open , and it dose not lower then value and i can not give you the coa evryone needs a copy - chupacabra6969 _________________________________________
I think neutral with a copy of the msg he sent U so itstands out and others will notice. abbreviate to make it fit. But, do what U will.
nope. I'd negative him.. think about it.. fake COA, and tape on the coin holding it to an envelope.. give me a break.. NEG! anything would be better than that.
I'd try to resolve it with him before leaving a neg. If that doesn't work, then I would probably neg him. Gets there attention to say the least. But try to resolve it first, if you can. Phoenix
I just left him a positive....that way he might leave me one too. it's only five dollars so it's not that big of a deal. i wont by from him again though...and i did let him know how i felt about his COA. stainless
because this is my first bid and I dont want to start off leaving someone a negative. It might make me look bad. stainless
Sorry Anthony... I couldn't resist. You and I talked about this... don't beat yourself up too bad over this. It was only $5. Now when you start dropping $100 on a coin only to realize later that it was harshly cleaned and only worth a fraction of that, then we can talk. :headbang:
Now thats a new one. Isn't a coa as individual as the particular item it's supposed to certify? And who is "everyone" that needs one? Sounds a bit fishy to me. Guy~
