    When I first got an email from the Mint and saw this, I was thinking to myself, "It looks like part of her head is missing." Ever since then, I can't unsee it.

    I thought lady liberty was Caucasian?
    I’m seeing high cheek bones.

    Only because up until 2017 she had always been portrayed as a caucasian. But there is no reason she could not be of any race or ethnic background. After the obvious black version used on the 2017 $100 gold/silver medal the plan was to have a different ethnicity each year, but is seems like they may be thinking a scrapping that idea on next years.
