I always ask to look before I get and they always tell me it’s what is on top they can’t dig through them!!!! So three boxes of 2018d cent later I have 7 Lincoln’s and two rolls for later in life that I will keep. The rest sending back. Just aggravating to look though 3 boxes of all new cents... vary minor errors nothing to really keep. I’m going to another bank this coming week. :(

Sorry for your frustrations, but please remember that ordering you boxes of cents costs the bank money. I hope you have better luck next time.

wait wait.... this first box I found 13 really nice cents. Put them in 2x2 and gave them the some friends and told them just to hold on to them.
The second box was a little harder to find nice no nick or dings found about 9 of them. Vary clean.
And the third box was kinda monotonous to go though. I’m keeping 7 of them for myself I beleave they are the best one I have found...

What I have found in $75 in cents. About 50 md and a lot of cents with grease stains. But I can’t say it was fun because it was. Every coin I was hoping to find something new. But unfortunately I didn’t find anything that I can retire on

When they produce billions of these zinc atrocities, there are some times during the year you are going to get a box of brand new cents. I had that happen in Feb one year and I was able to return the box, and I stopped doing it.
I get 5 rolls of quarters every once in a while just to look for the new ones.
2019 has been SUPER tough. I have found 3 of the War in the Pacific Guam quarters metal detecting, but the condition on all were rough. And 1 single one going through rolls (OK but I need a better example for my album) and these came out in June.
All the Lowells and American Memorial Parks and no W's. Sigh. The new ones come out Monday and it will be months before I see a San Antonio.

I haven’t have any 2019 of any type coin yet even getting change for my stores. Maybe I should try and order some. I have never done that..

Meow would have just stashed all the uncirculated penny rolls in the Cat Hoard. So shiny and pretty, so Meow must keep!

Unfortunately, CRHing has forced banks to change their ordering procedures. Banks are being forced to charge for ordering boxes of coin rolls because of so much unnecessary banking activity, and some banks will only order the boxes for commercial accounts.

This has been on the horizon for years, and CRHers complain about it. They reason that they don't "dump" their change at the bank where they have their primary account. Big deal! You "dump" at one bank, and another person from that bank "dumps" at your bank. What's the difference?

Since these probably came directly from mint ballistic bags, you may have a chance to find things like small clips, blank planchets, implanted planchets, die crack progressions, etc. Those are things you are less likely to find in rolls of circulated coins.

In addition, if you have a good eye, experience, and patience, you might be able to find a few high grades. @cpm9ball about the nice stuff he found in mint bags of Kennedy halves

The problem is that many CRHers don't want to pay a premium in any amount over face value. Instead of spending money to make money, they want it free of charge.

I haven't seen that many new centsvin s long time. My area only get recycled coins. Maybe I can do better when it gets closer to Christmas.

OK it's a bank, so what. As a general rule no one comes in and orders half dollars so they don't order any. They don't order any they don't have any on hand when you come in and ask for them. Boxes of coin that no one wants sitting around are unproductive assets that aren't at work earning money for them. If they could get away with not having any cash on hand they would do that. Cash on hand is dead assets. That is why they operate on the principle of fractional reserves. I still think there are a lot of people that think all the money that gets deposited in banks sits there in the vault just waiting to be called for. A bank never has more than a very small percentage of the deposits on hand in cash. They know on average how much cash will come in daily and how much will go out and they keep just a (relatively) small surplus on hand just in case they they get an unusually heavy day of cash outflow.

I understand how a bank works. I guess I should have said “they tell me they don’t have a box opened but they have a whole box they could sell me.” They will only have half’s if they receive them for deposit to give out without breaking a box open.. but they never do!! :( I bet there are a lot of people that thinks they just stack up cash in the vault!! That’s why banks get rob because they first think they can get away and second they believe they have millions on hand.
