Hi - I picked up a stack of banknotes from Mexico but can't find them in the world currency book. I don't have a scanner (sorry) so here are a few examples - maybe I'm reading the book wrong or I need a more defined catalog?

El Banco De Tamaulipas 5 Cinco - 1921
El Estado de Sonora 5 peso 1915
El Banco Nacional De Mexico 10 peso 1913

Any reference links or page numbers in the catalog would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi CoinGal, 2 of your notes are listed in the standard catalog of world paper money specialized issues. This volume covers commercial banks, military notes, state notes and revolutionary notes for Mexico.

El Estado de Sonora 5 pesos 1915 - catalog number S 1072, Mexico revolutionary note, decree no. 13 of August 27 1913, printed signatures, printer ABNC, portraits of Maderoo and Suarez, VG .75 VF 2.50 UNC 6.00
El Banco Nacional De Mexico 10 pesos - Catalog no. S 258-e, portrait of M. Garcia Teruel, also Euthenia (Goddess of plenty) G 3.00 F 6.00 XF 25.00
El Banco De Tamaulipas 5 pesos 1921 - the catalog does not show 1921 issues. Are there any other dates on that note? Pictures would really help, there just so many notes for this time period in Mexico's history.

CoinGal, you should get your post moved to the paper money forum. Maybe some one there can give you some more info on the notes.

What book are you using? I have all 3 of the Standard Catalog of World Currency, and like you are finding, sometimes i just cant find the note in my books. Generally speaking though, if you cant find them in the regular book, it may just be inthe 'Specialized editions' book.
