Hello, I thought I would take some time to post some of my bills and coins. I think I will be selling some of them so I may aswell figure out what they're worth. Here is a group shot, most bills are creased a little, and a bit worn. But they've got to be worth at least face value! :headbang: One of the red $2 bills is a devil's face 1954, and I also got an old $20 bill there. That's got to be worth a few dollars anyway. Cheers, If needed I can take close-ups once my battery recharges.
The 1937 $10 is a slightly better note, with the Lawson and Towers signature. The signatures on the 1937 notes are the key to the value, the Coyne-Towers were the latest printed, up to early 1953 and are the most common. If memory is correct, the Lawson-Bouey combo is the earliest and the scarcest combo of all the 1937 notes. The 1954 notes on up are fairly common and around in large numbers and usually go for about 30% over face in average condition.
That said, here is why I particularly like the 1937 notes: And the $20: The Canadian residents in my notaphilic harem.
Thanks for the replies, what would the 1937 $10 & $20 bill be worth roughly? I guess I may need to take better photos. btw thanks to the mod who moved my thread :smile
Well, lawson-bouey did not exist until the early 1970's so that is off.And there is no Lawson-Towers signature made ever. The signature you are thinking about is Osborne-Towers ( which I do not see, but may be missing ) the gordon-towers and Coyne-Towers are worth near to about the same. Without bigger pictures of these bills I cannot grade them, but they all like to be in amazing condition! I think the lowest could be EF but I think most look AU, your bills could be worth $500 or more.
