Hi everyone, TBH I'm kinda freaking out right now.. i think i found a 1943 P Bronze/Copper Wheat Cent.. but i know that's pretty much impossible.. Tell me what you see. Penny is beat to hell, and was found in a bulk wheat penny roll from my TCS. Thanks for your help.
Yep. Too bad. That may have taken anyone’s breath away for a moment or two. Absolutely is an altered date though as previously said.
thanks.. i'm new to this and knew it was a 1 in a SEVERAL Billion shot.. but had to ask lol.. too me the 3 looks too skinny is that the same that you are seeing? any other obvious things i'm missing?
Look at the size of the number “3” in relation to the other three digits. That and the fact that it is very abnormally shaped.
@Severedman, welcome! I like your steel pot! TTI (The Truth Is), you're freaking me out, with that 4th pic. Looks like Abe was exhumed. "Tell me I'm seeing things." YST (You're seeing things!)...you said it best: OK, this falls under the "LWC" (Lost Wallet Conundrum): If you misplace your wallet, & then eventually find it, do you keep looking for it? YSSN (You should say "no".) Well it's the same thing with BUADDAC (butt ugly altered, defaced, damaged, abused coins)...does it really matter what else is wrong once you find an HDC (Horribly Disfigured Coin)? N (No!) Look, I see where you're going, & I applaud you for your determination. But don't BADH (Beat A Dead Horse) - there are many other coins waiting for your DE (Discovery Efforts). Apologies to my friends @ PETA (People Eating Tasty Animals) if I offended anyone with the HA (Horse Analogy)!
Ok, you're seeing things. In this case an altered 3 or should I say an 8. The 8 has been altered into a 3.
