    new to coin roll hunting and going through my 2nd 25$ box and this pops up. first of these i've ever seen/gotten. not even sure what it is.

    It's always fun to fund something different. CRHing won't make you rich, but you can learn a lot of interesting stuff

    i figured it wasnt worth anything but funny to find in a roll.

    ...however you can find these in the $0.25 ea. = 5/$1.00 box at coin shows/dealers. And probably $1.00 ea. on ebay.

    It is what it says it is, a twenty cent coin from Hong Kong minted in 1979. A nice and unusual find for CRHing.

    Interesting! I once found a Canadian quarter or two in rolls but never anything like that.

    We're better off finding bulk lots of them if someone sells a pile of HK dollars on ebay. Individually that coin is worth about 3 US cents. My coin shops have a 10 cent foreign box with some Hong Kong pieces thrown in, I wouldn't go higher than that.
