Nice on the 50D! It’s been harder to find worn specimens in circulation than AU/BU specimens for me so far. Seeing sworn survivor is awesome! Check your 60D for DDO. I see that thicker glare again.

Yeah I checked both the 59 and 60 again. I think it's just my phone and how the photos come out. None were the DDO :(

You take good photos to show the fun finds but just a hair out of optimal for closer assessment (which isn't your objective...but I find myself staring down your coins). No worries. I tend to remind folks when the find a fine coin to do the doublecheck. You just never know...

Thanks for the look out. Id like to think I have a key eye on finding things but you never know what you might miss. I can tell you on certain days when I go through more then two boxes every Jefferson looks like a double die :) from my eyes trying to focus hahaha

Geez don't know where to start! First off, a amazing die clash in decent shape. A very weird Jefferson nickel that looks like he is getting devoured by the blob! The metal on this coin is raised and I am a little bit confused on if this is PMD? Either way ill pull it aside and do some more research. Just don't have the time as I'm getting ready for work.

    Question.....

Out of my 2 boxes, i got a V, a buffalo, a silver war, and a few foreign. Would you think this was luck - or me living in Florida?

I am thinking about 2 more boxes.... as opposed to pennies.....

That is definitely a absolutely amazing box! I would head back to the same bank and see if you can get two more. Anytime I find a V Nickel from a box I always head back the next day and see if they can spare one more box or two!

@Andygator Could be a florida thing. Last week i got a box that gave up 10 War nickels. Florida can be good for older coins. The box right after wasn't too good This time of year can be good here for collection dumps. though. It's hit and miss. As the holidays approach, more people start rolling coins and turning them in.....Get to know your tellers, Bring them a treat once in awhile, and let know you would be interested in coins rolled and brought in by customers, not just boxes. The box I am working on now, so far hasn't given up anything good. (besides some older S MM coins.). I have found 4 buffalos during the last month or so, never a V, and about .75 in War Nickels.

What we get here in Florida (machine rolled) are usually coinstar dumps and bank change counter dumps, and those can yield nice stuff.

    Nice clash (attributed) ADC-5c-1988-01 http://www.maddieclashes.com/adc-5c-1988-01/

I've found that the better boxes usually start arriving in November and last through March. Folks cashing in coins for a little extra Christmas spending followed with settling up with credit cards after the Holidays.

Yeah. Put all your 39's on the side. And then look for the 39 d/d Monticello. Maybe at the end. I understand your busy trying to accomplish this Ripley's Believe It Or Not search
