Just picked this one up. Got a few more on the way. Its an O-108, notice the die cracks on the reverse. I like this variety..
Ben & Jim: Interesting. The obverse looks like a much higher grade than the reverse. The left (facing) eagle's wing is very flatly struck. This appears typical for the variety, as listed in Overton.
Frank, there is a major die crack running from the bottom of the rev up to the center of the coin, if you look at it, you can see that the weakness starts right at the crack and proceeds towards the 9:00 Position. Hence the weak left wing.
Great coin, but I can never fathom why these are called crusties. All I see is nice, natural toning - no crust. :-D
Here is a great thread which points out the unique attributes for the variety. http://coinzip.proboards79.com/index.cgi?board=1810b&action=display&thread=1404 Take Care Ben
