anyone here use them? Could they damage your coins in any way?

Some collectors use Whitman Classics like I do, some use Dansco but I've always heard that Intercept Shield was the best. I would switch but I already have a few hundred dollars wrapped up in Whitman albums.

I find Danscos to be more attractive, personally.

I hear they are the best. Have recently purchased one for my collection. To early to tell if they are any good. Oh, by the way, these are made in CHINA!
I know many dealers have quit selling these for who knows what reason.
    Just my thoughts Claw

but could they scratch the coin by putting them in, just like dansco?

I believe you'll have that same situation with any album that features plastic slides, no matter what the brand.

30 or so years ago, lots of folks were using PVC holders as it was the best on the market, and the best ways to keep you collectibles safe... what will 30 years from now tell us about the products we use now?

But from what i have read on this forumn, and read elsewhere, Intercept Sheild Albums do work, but so do Whitman and Dansco ... so in the end, i guess its personnal prefferance.

I use Intercept shield albums but I haven't been collecting long enough to tell whether it does the job. I agree Dansco looks better than the Intercept albums. One complain I have is the slots seems very tight. It very hard to push them in, specially as the page gets filled.

Same problem. I've got well over 100 Whitman Classic Albums. Way to late to even consider changing. Someone once gave me a Intercept Shield Album and I just gave it away also. Might be better but who knows. Probably all made in China anyway. Wonder if they use Lead in the paint for the Albums. :smile Play it save and don't eat them.

are all pages removable in these albums or only certain ones? and are there single pages you can buy and add to any album? (besides that one gold type page I see)

and does anyone own the walker album? If so, please tell me there are no proofs to be filled in the album!!

I've also found that the Dansco albums fall apart pretty easily too.
    what are your guys experience?

if youa re changing your question to whether you should be using the albums or not then my answer is absolutely not for the reasons you mentioned in the question itself :)

Why doesn't somebody make an album that holds airtite holders? Wouldn't that seem to be the best option?

I'm planning on getting an Intercept Shield album for Buffalo nickels. So the coins go into plastic sleeves? How hard do they go in? They then snap into the slots?

I have 4 Dansco albums--all in very good shape. None have 'fallen apart' or show any signs of doing so. I have had them a couple of years now. My Dad has several and as far as I know they are all in good shape, too. I really like them.
I have also read that the Intercept albums are the best and have been tempted to try one. But, I don't want to buy one Intercept and not like it. I'd like to know if they are really superior. Does it seem to be just a matter of opinion?
    Thanks.

    What company makes them?

Guess that depends on how you define superior. Some don't like the look of them. But they'll stop your coins from toning if that's what you want.
