Today, my boss was showing me a bunch of coins that were his brothers. The majority of the collection was US Mint Sets and Proof Sets, and he did have quite a few 1oz. Silver rounds, and twenty, 10 troy oz bars. Then there was a small box of assorted foreign coins. I recognized most of them and could atleast figure out which country for the rest. But this one, I need help with. Im curious to know, what it is and where and when it was minted. And my boss is curious of an approximate value. Its approximately 35mm in Diameter.
I believe this one has some value even in this condition. Someone will be along to tell you more about it and if not, I'll tell you the little I know.
Its Irish and should have a date of 1822 or 1823 below the harp on the reverse. What is the size of the coin? It could either be a farthing, halfpenny, or penny, depending on the size.
