I think this penny is in very good condition and is keeping it in a little baggie by itself the way to store it or does anyone have a better way
Ok and I have one that's 1960 and also wheat pennies in the same condition and want to make sure they stay that way
When handling coins, make sure that your hands are clean and dry and if available, gloved (especially when handling valuable coins). Using the flips as noted by our fellow enthusiasts is a great suggestion. But for more valuable items, airtight containers are better at reducing the likelihood of environmental effects. Regular handwashing will dry out your hands, but best when handling coins. Good luck!!
Buy some PVC free flips as you can fit any US coin in them. 2x2 cardboard coin holders come in specific size holders (although you can buy a mixed size package). IMO the flips are safer than the 2x2's. Google "Coin supplies" and several sellers will pop up so you can compare prices.
@Lisa Brown Cuccio i use 2x2 cardboard and Mylar holders for most of my coins this allows me to put them in small albums to be able to see both sides. Some people use 3 ring binder pages but I like the feel of the smaller albums. I also use basic folders for my grade sets. When using 2x2’s if you don’t have a crimp flat stapler make sure that you crimp the staples flat with a standard pair of pliers to prevent the sticking up staple backs from causing any damage when the 2x2’s are stacked and handled.
