The attached $1 silver certificate, uncirculated, series of 1935 A, Serial No c99999999C was given to me in the 1950s by a friend's father who worked in the New York Federal Reserve branch office in Buffalo NY. My question is whether it's desirable?

My problem is I created jpg pics, front and back, ea 1.8 mb sized 4" x 6" and as I try to upload them I get an error message that pics are too large. Help please.

Yes, that's going to be a nice note! I look forward to seeing it.

1.8MB is huge for a forum. If you don't have software to edit and resize, there are online tools like https://resizeimage.net which you can use to make it something like 1000px across.

Yes. Desirable to the tune of about five grand based on similar items sold on Heritage Auctions.

    You never see all 9's.
    That's a great note.

Upload one image at a time. 1.8 should not be a problem.

My advice... Keep that. That would be a centerpiece of my collection- the fact it was a gift from someone who cared enough to gift it to you says a lot.

Finally found a way to reduce the quality & the size of the pics. _WF54015_1.JPG _WF54016_1.JPG

    Thanks @wkferry

The note has what appears to be foxing, minor handling marks and a skinny lower margin, but the serial number makes up for all of that. Super nice note, extremely scarce. Get it into a quality currency sleeve.

And the fact that it is a Silver Cert. makes it even more desirable to collectors. If this was mine (and if I needed the $$$) I'd send that to HA in a heartbeat. If you need a contact number, post it and we'll get you in touch with the right agent.

Somewhat comparable, but this S.C. Ace is a FunnyBack.

That note is in rough condition would say VF-30, though the numbers make
It very interesting, collectors tend to go for a higher quality examples, still
    a Neat note :)

Needs to at least be in a protective sleeve. Away from sunlight, heat, humidity. Great note. For me it would be a family heirloom piece. Somewhere down the line someone will need the money and sell it. You don't come across this thing every day.
I know you can see eight 1's through eight 8's.
Can you see have a note with 8 zeroes in circulation, or does the run
    start at 00000001?

    What ?
VF30 is 7-10 folds and I am unable to see one.
The note has handling marks, a natural paper wave, foxing and discoloration but I don’t see any folds.

    INTERESTING HOW PHOTOGRAHY MAKES A
Interesting how photography (and the light) makes an object appear differently. In this case photographed outside, early morning, with the sunlight coming into the object at an extreme oblique angle.

No folds and the light makes ALL the difference in the world. Believe it is uncirculated - see next attempt to upload. First pics in direct oblique sunlight to capture paper texture) - and 1st set reflects how uncirculated note "feels" - all crinkly between thumb and forefinger. 2nd set below photographed in indirect (subdued) light that does not capture paper texture. _WF54021_1.jpg _WF54023_1.jpg

The bill does have a few issues and on paper money condition is everything. The serial number makes up for a lot of things as all 9's is very tough to obtain. You should have this note graded and protected. It is 84 years old.

Maybe you missed the stains on the boarders ?? this note would have possible
Remarks, good luck with an uncirculated grade, looks like the OP is playing
    Games :(
