Still new at this coin game, But this appears from some research this is double died on both sides and it almost appears like it’s a 1992 mixed with a 1993. Also has a closed AM, but FG In bottom corner doesn’t appear to be right, until you look further and maybe I’m making it up, but it appears as tho the FG is also doubled very faint . Please help confirm either way, any help is appreciated! Thanks

The only thing significant about this post is the number of pictures.

You guys can’t just help a noob like myself learn can ya? From here on out, A simple yes or no and maybe a brief explanation as to what you see will more than suffice...I know y’all are cool Edited If you’re not gonna relay something of use, then why are you even checking out my post anyway. Lamo! I spend time on here to try and gain something and learn something from those who know more. EDITED Btw, The only reason I post a bunch of pics is because I see these threads where the same people like yourselves are asking for more pics. Not all of us have to time to sit around and shark every thread posted because a person looks stupid cause his lack of knowledge about freaking oennys dude! Stop wasting my time, and you should probably think about stopping the wasting of your own time.

Wasn't trying to make you look stupid. Was just commenting on the crazy amount of pictures you posted. Usually just one or two decent ones are plenty. Too many more and you over-saturate.

Perhaps instead of taking the time to take 10 million pictures and post them, that time would be better spent reading up on how doubling works?

I would be more than happy to provide some links to some good sites to help you learn, if you are willing.

I’ve done a little reading on the topic and I thought this coin Matched the criteria. I’m as green as it gets and just wanna learn and try and get an eye for it. Or try to anyway.

So literature, links etc. would be much appreciated. Only reason I’m on here. Thanks

Die deterioration doubling. No value added

Here is a link. Read the tab marked "worthless doubling"

    www.doubleddie.com

That was a major overkill on the pics. Wading through them makes it difficult to understand what you really want.

Check out that link and you won't have to post responses that get edited by the moderators

You’ll come across some unusual looking phenomena that’ll have you stumped for a bit but press through it. Seldom is the community stumped as a whole.

The correct numismatic terminology is Doubled Die..not double died :dead::dead:

And your cent is a worn die strike. Die Deterioration Doubling. Worthless doubling.

Take it easy on the amount of pictures next time!

A lot of photos (ENOUGH) photos are helpful. Many noobs don’t submit obverse AND reverse. You did that, so thanks for that. And I have inadvertently posted double (once triple) threads. I didn’t know I could ask a moderator to delete the extra(s).

I’ve learned to carefully edit my posts to check for duplications, spelling or grammatical errors, etc. The little devils still sneak in occasionally, but as a CT member I want to treat other members the way I want to be treated. I don’t want to read barely intelligible gobbledygook (unless from a poster whose first language is something other than English, then I cut some slack). So I try to make my posts readable.

Several newer members have, IMHO, overreacted to comments meant to instruct. This doesn’t add to the enjoyment of CT.

@Arizwak ill give you this the images are pretty good for a new member. Usually we get blurry upside down tunnel vision images. Good for you :woot: Keep on searching and when you find something that stumps you please post it for all to see. Fully cropped full shots of the obverse and reverse on a white or black background and closer cropped images of the area/areas in question are what we all want to see. Also include a detailed description of what your questions are.

    Welcome to CT
    Reed.

I was amazed this site let you add that many pics, I tried posting 2 coins that had similar anomalies and I was denied anything over 10. So kudos on getting that amount of pics in. The coin I agree with as a fore mentioned. Keep looking it'll come to ya!

Dont let it bother you Arizwak. Sometimes just gotta take a lashing if you want to know the truth around here. Now you can eliminate that penny and move on to the next fun hunt! Its worth the smackdown on occasion....we've all taken our share man...some more than others. Think of it like an older brother whoopin on you for fun. Doesnt mean he hates you.

Way to many photos but I understand you're new and excited. Your coin is definitely doubled but it is NAV, No Added Value Doubling. It's zinc and it was minted from an old worn die.
