Well I guess I just don’t understand how to distinguish die deterioration from doubled dies... I mean it’s got an extra front of the eyeball!
the eyeball thing kinda looks like a damaged die chip. the metal flow striations you see above the T and Y and between them are common identifiers for die deterioration. The dies are used for a long time and the pounding it gets finally starts to wear creases/scratches in the dies surface, thus becoming part of the elements in a way. it gets worse and worse over time .. kinda like how a car tires wears out.
The eye looks like it took a hit. The doubling is a worn die. Stick with. Sooner or later something will click for you.
