I am the WRONG person to ask that question of. I am a VEHEMENTLY anti-slab collector and I hate the entire concept of thrid party grading services. I never have nor will I ever support them. So my answer to that kind of question is alway yes, no matter what the coin is.

Maybe a stupid question , but I thought the difference in proofs was that they were struck on polished planchets with extra strikes and pressure . What causes the different shapes of the rims . Also in the 2 pictures I assume the top one is the proof . Am I right . Any help appreciated .

IMO I don't think it is a proof. The rims are not squared and the coin seem to be off struck a bit toward the right side on the obverse.

It is still a very nice coin and if you choose to get a professional grade then ANACS will clear up any questions you may have. That's why I've sent some coins to them. For authentication mostly.
