Just stopped by LCS and saw this amazing CC Morgan on sale. Its heavily bag marked but I think it has potential for a MS63...If I NGC it . Anyway I think I got a once in a lifetime find today. EDIT: Payed $199 for it.
Baggy indeed 62 I grade it I wouldn’t call it once in a lifetime find. There’s a lot out there for that money
Well, I like the coin. In the numismatic desert I live in, that would have been an instant purchase for me. There may be better out there, but you live for the moment. Enjoy it!!
It’s not that bad from what I can tell from the pictures. Looks like a 62+/63, there’s not enough remaining luster for a higher grade... PCGS may call it 64 though ;-)
I SEE SOME MARKING ON THE TAIL FEATHERS, STARTING FROM THE LEFT , THE 2ND AND 3RD TAIL FEATHERS.. LOOK KINDA LIKE A V POINTING DOWN.. ALSO THE BOTTOM OF THE TAIL FEATHERS ARE DOUBLED. ALSO THE BOTTOM ARROW , ON THE EAGLES MIDDLE TALON. FROM THE TALON TO THE RIGHT LOOK'S DOUBLED
You paid close to retail, so you paid what it is worth. But it's a pretty coin and you didn't get ripped off. Congrats and enjoy it!
Doesn't look that baggy to me at all, agree with CBD you didn't get ripped off or steal it just paid right about retail and it's a nice looking coin. I don't think it's worth the grading fees personally I would leave it as is but that's just my opinion and in general I think people burn way too much on grading. Unless it has a chance at 65 it's just too common of a coin to spend the grading fees on in my opinion. I don't think it would grade under 63 though based on these pictures.
