The wife is a manager for a retail store. She brought me home a ziplock bag about half full of coinstar rejects. Found a bunch oddball stuff that was pretty modern. Mostly all foreign coins and a bunch of Canadian coins. Here's a list of the keepers that I thought were cool. Nothing valuable. 2 ea. 1957 Spain 5 PTAS 1 ea. 1953 Gr. Britain 1 Shilling 1 ea. 1945 Canadian Cent 1 ea. 1940-M Mexico 5 Centavos 1 ea. 1917 French 1 Fran 3 ea. 50% Silver 1968 Canadian Qtrs. Oh and what I thought was the coolest of all of them. A One Cent planchet.
Paddy how in the hell do you no off the top of your head what is what?? I mean to just look a a blank planchet and now a type. Really!! Next your going to be dating planchette !!
Actually, the 1968 Canadian Quarters are 50% silver and the 1917 1 Franc is a little over 80% silver.
Depends on the Canadian quarter... http://www.coinsandcanada.com/coins-prices.php?coin=25-cents-1968&years=
Yea, just about everything was foreign. Only US coins I found were 3 beatup statehood qtrs., 2 roosie dimes and 3 beatup lincolns. Lol I probably had about 100 coins in the bag.
We have soo much oilfield people around here, I can't get surprised at anything that could get found in these things.
