Beautiful coin, although I don't think it's FS- there is a minor dent on the bottom step. I guessed MS66.
Based on the absolutely ridiculous grading I've seen from the TPG's concerning high point pitting and Jeffersons, I really don't see any reason why this coin doesn't grade MS-69 FS. Compared to your recent GTGs, I honestly think this is in consideration for MS-68 at least. You've shown us 67's that I thought should be 64. Based on that scale, let's all throw darts at a whale and see where they land?
That was funny, but you didn’t give us your grade. Btw, speaking of whales, I’m currently reading Moby Dick. Also, I refer to the 50-D as my “white whale” because I have had at least 6 different coins represent that slot in my registry collection. I just can’t find one that meets all of my standards.
I voted for 66FS, which appears to have the plurality of votes so far...ahhh, safety in numbers. Steve
66 5fs The fields look clean, I don’t see any major hits, and there appear to be 5 steps (at least based on the prior examples you’ve posted).
I didn't realize that option was up there. I thought it was just FS not 5 FS. My bad. I think i could see it getting 5 FS, not quite all 6 steps. MS67- 5-FS. then.
PCGS uses FS which only needs five full steps. NGC designates both 5FS and 6FS. There is a reason I used 5FS in the poll.
